After all these years, you still amaze me.
Thank you for being my best friend in the whole world, thank you for making me smile like no one else could.
Back pain is the worst. It hurts, all the time. I stretched, tumbled TWO passes, & worked on my back tumbling on the beam A LITTLE at practice, and I could barely walk when I got out. It’s literally a never-ending nuisance. Whether I’m standing up, sitting down, laying down.. no matter what, it’s not the right position. And I genuinely don’t think people understand the extent of it. Because there’s nothing that can really be done for it, all anyone could say is, “ice it,” or “stretch,” or “go easy on it.” There’s no light at the end of the tunnel with back problems, because they don’t get better. I guess I’m so used to it now that I only even react to it when it’s extremely bad that day, or whatever.
Moral of the story: be careful behind the wheel. Seriously, an accident that takes all of 10 seconds to occur can affect the rest of your life. I’m 19 years old, an athlete, and there are days I can barely stand up.
